Species: Hogna georgicola (wolf spider)
Florida Caverns State Park
Marianna, FL     March 19, 2005

This adult female wolf spider carries her light-blue eggsac everywhere she goes until her young emerge. The eggsac is attached to the tip of her abdomen by several strong strands of silk. When the spiderlings emerge, they'll climb onto her back and travel with her until they're able to fend for themselves.
